Werewolf: The Apocalypse Setting
Sept of the Laughing Child
- Level: 3
- Type: Wisdom - Humor
- Totem: Coyote
- Location :
- The Kicks Comedy Club is located approximately 5 blocks North of Washington State University. It is located off of Roosevelt Way, just East of Interstate 5. It is in the heart of Seattle’s thriving downtown entertainment district, which is home to many bars, restaurants, stores, nightclubs, and other related venues. The proximity of the University makes the Kick’s Comedy Club frequented by college students, tourists, and the locals from all walks of life.
- Bawn :
- The Kick’s Comedy Club is located in a fairly modern looking building, mostly styled off of the 1960s semi-post modern designs. It is three stories tall, with a basement level. Half of the basement level is used for legitimate club business storage, however it comes with a secretive secured doorway that leads to the “unofficial” other half of the basement. This half of the basement has a small computer lab, weapons locker, and Sept storage (which occasionally seconds as a holding cell area).
- The first floor of the Comedy Club is for the actual club business. The club is open to the general public (costumers) and the veil is held to the highest standard. The club has a moderately sized cocktail and bar area, a small kitchenette for a very limited menu of bar appetizers, and hosts two side conference style rooms that are available for rent for private events. The main portion of the first floor is dedicated to a stage and cabaret seating area. This large cabaret style stage is where the music and comedy acts perform. Behind the stage area is changing rooms, and the Club main office. All the staffing and workers of the Kick’s Comedy Club are kinfolk and assist the Garou in both keeping the veil, and keeping the Kick’s Comedy Club as one of the most popular comedy venues in the city of Seattle.
- Caern Proper:
- The Back of the first floor and all of the upper floors of the club are not accessible to the general public. The second floor hosts the rituals chamber, a large conference style meeting room for Sept gatherings (war planning sessions, trials, etc.) and a large recreational area that includes a TV, couches/chairs. Similar to the lounge that is on the first floor of the Sept, also on the first floor is a full kitchen that is open to the garou and kinfolk of the Sept to use at any point. Garou are encouraged to use either the first or second floor lounges as they wish, but are asked that the second floor lounge be kept quieter for those that are looking to relax or unwind.
- The basement hosts a large gym as well as a shower and locker room, bunk room and infirmary room, though the infirmary is not manned unless otherwise noted.
- The third floor is where the heart of the Caern is located. The heart chamber is a secured room, which plays host to the central shrine to Coyote, although there are more easily accessible shrines to both Coyote and other totems in the open shrine area and closed shrine room on the third floor. The third floor also plays host to the Pathstone Chamber, which is where all moon-bridges to the Sept open too. The Gatekeeper maintains living quarters adjacent to this chamber. It also is home to the Hall of Hero's. The Hall of Heros holds urns full of ashes. The ashes belong to the fallen heroes of the Sept of the Laughing Child and are marked with brass plaques stating the names and deeds of the fallen. Here and there are items that belonged to the dead, such as a favored weapon or a lucky hat. These were left by pack-mates to honor the dead and are left in their places.
Community Garden of Center District
- Contained with a chain link fence, with a large gate that is rarely locked is a huge 6 lot area that has been transformed into a huge community garden. The interior of the garden is sectioned onto individual plots by brightly painted rocks with small placards or painted shale rocks to indicate who is using each plot. At the center of the garden is a huge oak tree, its gnarly roots making an interesting place to sit and watch the growing gardens around it. At the back center of the lot was a large shed, with various baskets and lockers inside for the members of the garden to leave their tools and bright colored hoses are easily be spotted curled up at strategic positions through out the garden.
- The garden has only a few small ground lights and is considered closed at dark, those few who visit the garden at night though always find the owners about and are rarely turned away.
Lawana's Gift
- Next to the garden is a plain two story brick building, the downstairs is a produce and herb shop where the garden owner's sell the produce they grow in their own portion of the garden. Along with this they sell their own herbal remedies, teas, and handmade jewelry and charms.
[Known to be the claimed pack land of the Lawana's Gift pack]
Cascade Rubbish Dump
- One of the largest dumps in the Seattle area, it is privately owned with contracts with many of the cities districts. Several buildings were found along the fences and the gates were opened from 6am til midnight for commercial drop offs and from 8-5 for private.
- Two of the buildings were open to the public, one was a parts store where people could go purchase used parts salvaged from wrecks. The other was the main office which was attached to the scales.
- There were 3 other buildings, a large garage to house the bulldozers and other earth moving equipment and trucks, a smaller building brightly labeled as a refueling stations, and the final was an older farm house that looked like it had been there for about 80 years now.
- The house is home to the Bone Gnawer Kinfolk, Jimmie Ferris, who own and run the dump and several rooms have been put aside for the use of the tribe. Warm dry sleeping and hot meals could be found there for any kin or garou who simply asked.
[Known to be Bone Gnawer Tribal Ground & Home to most of the city's rabble]
[RV] Hillard Estate (pw:falcon)
- This massive estate is entirely walled in with a security gate that requires a simple 4 digit code to open. The front grounds are beautifully manicured and gardened, with a large gazing pool/pond and well kept driveway that swings by both the outlaying guest house, the main house, and the massive garage. Behind the house however the land inside the wall has been left to grow wild, tall grass and many trees both transplanted and naturally occurring have grown up causing an almost forest like feel.
- The main house is a 3 story affair with double doors leading into an open foyer where 2 sets of stairs lead up to the floors above. To the rear of the foyer was James Hillard’s personal study, while at the left lay a formal living room, as well as a library/study for gathering and music room. To the right lay a much larger and more relaxed den area and dining room, with a fully manned kitchen hidden in the far corner behind swinging double doors. Both the second and third floors boast multiple bedrooms some occupied and some open, and the large basement has not only a gym but a pool as well.
- What was once the guest house has now been occupied, given as a gift to Shannon Kingston by Mercy's Judgement. The house is a 2 floor, 5 bedroom home fully decked out and being remodeled to fit the kin's wishes.
- The garage can easily house upwards of 10 vehicles though at the moment only 3 of the slots seem to be filled with James’ BWM, a new van, and an SUV. Though hidden in the far corner under tarps one might spy several motorcycles of varying years and makes.
- The grounds and house are kept up entirely by 4 kinfolk who live on the estate full time and 2 who arrive every morning and return to their homes in the city during the evening hours.
- The House and Grounds are open to any of the Silver Fang Tribe who need or wish to make a home there or simply to visit and use the facilities they need only speak to Mercy’s Judgement to get the pass code.

[CH] Heart of the City Gym (pw:glass)
- This historical building was purchased by the Bloody Talons pack, and is open to any of the Glass Walker tribe and their or the pack’s guests. Any of the tribe who talk to a member of the Bloody Talon pack will be given a simple membership card that will open the doors at the front of the building and the alley. The old drive way provides parking for multiple cars in front of the steel bay doors, and a bit more parking can be found around back off the alley as well.
- Once an old Fire House, the entire first floor is left mostly open with the area just in front of the steel doors occupied by the packs crew cab pick-up and a cargo style van. A metal pipe fence was recently added to partition off the vehicles from the rest of the floor.
- Close to the front door and to the left of the vehicles a large lounge area was found where multiple couches and recliners could be found along with 2 large flat screen TV’s bolted directly to the wall, an entertainment center with a full sound system and several game systems with a large library of games and movies.
- Just past the lounge area a partition wall had been erected alongside the stairs and elevator creating a semi private area with lockers painted black and white in a checker board pattern. These were open to any who wanted to stick a pad lock on them. Where the lockers ended a large shower room/restroom was found with both individual showers and a open group shower.
- To the right of the lockers started the gym area. In the center of the gym area, what looked to be the original brass slide pole for the fire house was found. The gym boasted 3 treadmills, 2 sets of free weights, 2 bow flex, as well as a tethered heavy bag, loose heavy bag and 2 speed bags. At the rear of the gym area a set of half height partition walls mark out a sparing area with benches on the outside as well as a large cabinet placed just to the left of the opening stocked with gloves and safety equipment.
- At the back a single door opened to the rear parking lot, and a long counter had been put in along with a large fridge that was always stocked with water, juice and soda as well as fruit and ice packs.
- The second floor was split into 4 large rooms. The first closest to the stairs and elevator was an open computer lab with multiple desk tops set up for open use, as well as a couple docking stations for laptops. In the corner was a massive desk set up with 2 desktops and an usual high end laptop in a nearly indestructible case, tucked under one end of it was a personal fridge and locked cabinet. Only this desk seemed to be marked as off limits, and a few ‘gentle’ reminders were posted. ‘NO HACKING w/o prior permission.’ seemed to be the most prevalent one.
- The next room straight across from the computer room was a full kitchen and dining area, with a massive commercial fridge and range as well as both a coffee and espresso machine all fully stocked and ready for anything from an all night raid to a near formal dinner.
- To the right of the kitchen the room was set with a massive table and multiple chairs and benches with a huge city map taking up one entire interior wall. The room was well lit but rather plain, the doors usually closed.
- The last room on the floor was a bunk room, with 6 single beds set up with small dressers to the right as night stands and a single foot locker at the base of the bed. Each had table lamp and headphone jacks attached to the dresser tops.
- The third floor was off limits, simply explained as the packs personal living space and home to their kin. While the fourth floor was entirely open with only some low couches and chairs placed in the center, allowing any who ventured up that far a 360 degree view of the city.
