[Queen Anne] Port View Hotel (pw: vtm)
- Seattle Financial Group sits on top of what was once the Port View Hotel. When the streets were raised and the underground condemned in 1907 due to concerns about the bubonic plague, the hotel itself was closed off and abandoned. It has served as the cities Elysium since that time under the careful eye of the Keeper, Lee StAmor. At the rear of the building lies a private guarded parking lot and a single pass keyed door that is manned 24 hours. Through the door is a simple and plain waiting area and a single elevator. This area is also under 24 hours surveillance.
- The elevator itself is decorated in a lavish decor, its more like a moving waiting room than anything else. Two large exquisite couches, and paintings done long ago by original masters of the brush as well as a full size Oriental rug of undeterminable age. The amount of money sunk into the elevator itself leads one to muse to just how much extra money is laying around that they can decorate an elevator in such a manner.
- The doors of the elevator will only open on the 'first' floor of the Elysium unless special clearance and security keys are used to by pass it for the second floor. However the 'first' floor is every bit as exquisite as the elevator hints it might be.
- A large formal room with designer furniture and fine antiques greets the kindred as they step off the elevator, rich carpets and well polished black marble covers the floors in all directions. The room is enclosed on all sides with walls of dark mahogany and french silk wall paper, with chandeliers of bright crystal lighting the area without being over powering. Heavy double doors can be seen on each wall of the room with a single heavy door on the same wall as the elevator.
- The single door leads to a set of wide stairs that lead to the official offices below as well as a formal meeting room in which court can be held. Each set of the double doors lead to seperate area in which the kindred might relax or step away to in order to conduct business. They range from an 'informal' den where the furniture is only slightly less expensive but more strongly built in order to accomidate those kindred with rougher natures, A library where inset book shelves are filled with books and newspapers from many different times and places as well as plush seating and brighter lighting to accomidate the more studious of kindred, and last but not least A mahogany and brass lounge complete with bar and red velvet booths for those looking for more a more intimate setting. It is rumored the Prince himself keeps a final third floor as his own haven and playground but none have ever managed to verify it.
[DT] Martino's VIP - Elysium (pw: vtm)
Martino's is Elysium - Declared publicly on July 28, 2009 by Prince Icarus of the Nosferatu Clan.
- Martino's started life as a night club recently. Two years ago it was a derelict building, a former electronics manufacturing facility with a choice location in heart the Downtown entertainment district. Martino Cruz ran across the empty building, and within a month he owned the site and a demolition crew was reducing it to rubble. A year after that, the doors opened, and Martino's was on it's way to becoming a happening night spot in Seattle.
- Martino didn't want the same old nightclub, he didn't want a place where college kids in t-shirts and khaki shorts showed up and drank beer and got rowdy, and he didn't want a place where women and men in designer formal wear sat at bars and looked smug. He wanted a spot that people wanted to get into. He wanted a place where Ecstasy didn't dominate the dance floor but it was still packed. And he brought his considerable skills to bear on that problem.
- Darren Wright became aware of Martino's almost as soon as it opened, the Brujah primogen liking the way the place was run. Martino, however, had a problem... he was over-extended. Having sunk almost 3 million into the venue, and despite a roaring success, he was flat going bankrupt until Wright stepped in and offered to buy the establishment in exchange for Martino remaining on as manager for a 50 / 50 profit split. Martino, knowing the place was going to make a killing, lept at the offer.
- And wound up ghouled.
- Today Martino's is a very popular spot. Show up in Avirex, in Affliction, in DKNY, in Armani, in whatever - so long as it's not off a rack at WalMart or Target, and you're good to go. Bulldog spikes rub elbows with designer coture, and the music ranges from trace and dance to metal, but it almost always has a dance vibe to it and when it doesn't it's because a live band is playing, although that is rare. Inside Red and black furniture adorn the main room, lights, lasers, and strobes illuminate the dance floor, and a massive chrome and leather and Acrylic thing that's lit from beneath, within, and behind illuminating friendly wait staff dressed in fashionable attire. Martino's is a place where there's always a party.
- For the kindred of Seattle, once they arrive, whether they use the valet parking or not, a slew of professional (and large) bouncers examine anyone who they have been trained to double check with a heat sensing gun... a kindred almost never has the body warmth to match a regular person (ALMOST never) and that is usually enough to confirm that they go upstairs. The second floor offices of Darren Wright and his ghoul Dennise are lavishly appointed in crimson and burgundy red and black, and contain a nice mixture of old and new furniture, all comfortable and all arranged to face the end of a narrow but long room with one way mirrors overlooking the huge dance floor and bar.
- The bar itself is not off limits in any way, and like all Elysium hunting, fighting, and feeding are not allowed. However, Icarus has expressed that should a vampire find someone there and sweet - talk them into leaving the premises, then they are fair game after that point.
- Under an agreement between Wright and Ameline, the young Caitiff acts as Keeper over the club as the Primogen is already rather busy.
[CC] Roughneck’s Bar
- Roughnecks is in a more seedy part of town and has been known for several areas of local attention. Cheap beer good drinks and of course bikes. Anyone that has a decent paycheck would consider the Roughneck’s bar pretty well a dive but to bikers and others that have criminal backgrounds it is by that a haven of retreat. Pool tables line the back. An open floor with just tables scattered around with beat up chairs and stools makes it easy to clean after brawls. The bar is stocked with every hard liquor imaginable. Thursdays night is ladies night and of course the girl’s are as hard ass as the men that go there.
[Uni] Tilt
- Tilt is a new style arcade hosting various games from across the world. Games from Japan and even some of the newest gaming technologies are thought to be tested here. Tilt it isn’t something that’s easy to pass by. Huge neon decorations of various gaming icons litter the front windows and above the awning a tacky but huge pink glowing sign board proclaiming it’s name “Tilt” in crazy letters. Gamers and geeks alike flock to this ‘trendy’ local to spread the word about any dirt they can swing up on friends family their jobs. There isn’t’ anything that slips past this generation.
[CH] Catalyst
- Catalyst is a night club dedicated to the art of dance and music. Spin off and DJ battles to dance contests all make Catalyst one of the most red carpeted clubs in the city. Red carpet events and even visiting celebs have been known to show their faces in this posh night spot. The décor is modern and the feel is sleek and trendy. Cool colors and of course all the lights and flare of a good club make this the spot for Friday nights. It’s in the top running to become one of the best clubs in the entire city and magazines have come from all over to photograph the club it’s patrons and it’s owner. The club boasts a golden road to fame as several patrons have been discovered inside the club and have grown into stardom.
[Docks] The Pier
- A working class crab shack with that rustic flare. Old world feel and good food at great prices give the Pier an energetic sort of family feel. Crab, lobster and seafood in general can all be gotten here. For those that know how to look however it has more than just the seafood. The Pier is used as shipping grounds and why not? They take in shipments of sea food and who’s going to notice a few extra cases? People aren’t going to be sticking their hands into a crate of lobsters. You want something to get shipped under the radar or want to get something in? Everyone that knows anything about underworld knows that the Pier is the place.
[CH] Am Star
- This is the largest banking and financial firm in the city. It is also one of the first sky scrapers that was built when the city had exploded with growth. Trusted in their field they have a solid financial backing and been known as the new trend setters when it comes to investments. To the kindred Am Star has been owned by the same blood line of Ventrue since the city was founded. Jonas Peabody himself designed and saw over its every detail and to this day there are places in that building that only that man knows.
[DT] Tilly’s Park
- A large sprawling park that is sadly mostly flat but broken up with man made lakes and trees is a welcome respite from the bustle of the city. It boasts large playgrounds for children during the day and tennis courts and even fishing tourney’s on the weekends for the senior citizens or anyone really who wants to give it a try. Tilly’s though is a known gathering night spot for some local rabble with nowhere else to go and nothing better to do. Sometimes bums sleep there looking for a quiet refuge from the cold pavement. Tilly’s in the evenings though belong to the Gangrel. The fact that the park is large gives them lots of room to go unnoticed as even though the park is flat a lot of foliage breaks up any long visual areas except for the baseball field, soccer field and the track.
[Docks] Container Maze (pw:brujah)
- In the Maze of the stacks of shipping containers, there is an area that is mainly kept how it is, lost in the myriad of stores and illegal wares being smuggled in and out of the city. Here is a large patch of pavement, with cracks and breaks throughout it. Blood has stained the ground in most places, and a feel of a large group of violent people hanging out here is evident.
[Capitol Hill] Capitol Hill Arts Center
- Capitol Hill Arts Center (CHAC) occupies a classic brick and timber warehouse, originally an auto showroom built in 1917. CHAC is home to three performance venues which cater to collaborative, innovative and community-powered events.
[Downtown] WaMu Tower-58th floor (pw:ventrue)
- The 58th floor Executive Board Room. The finest of the fine, and littered with cash. A single lone elevator at the bottom of the underground parking structure, makes this floor, and the roof, its only two destinations. (OOC Note: This is a well watched area, and only those with the proper family clearance will be able to access this elevator.)
Dramatis Personae - The Kindred of Seattle
A Priori - Vampire House Rules
Alea iacta est - Vampire Creation
